A teenage boy has been charged with disorderly conduct following an investigation into complaints last month of inappropriate touching and conduct among eighth-graders at Holy Name of Jesus School in Lower Paxton Twp.
In November, township police had six students referred to them by Dauphin County Children and Youth Services. Police investigated the students' actions but felt it didn't warrant criminal charges because the victims consented to what happened, Sgt. Gary Seefeldt said.
The complaints mostly revolved around students touching each other on the buttocks, Seefeldt said.
"We're not saying it was appropriate behavior -- it's inappropriate because it happened in a school -- but it was not a crime," Seefeldt said.
A student, who was not part of the referrals, was charged with a summary count of disorderly conduct for lewd comments he made to another student, Seefeldt said.
